At Scottsdale Bariatric Center, our exclusive partnership with Scottsdale Healthcare has been key in developing a weight loss surgery program that is renowned and highly respected in this field of medicine.
Our center is located adjacent to the Scottsdale Healthcare Shea campus. This on-campus location allows our physicians to easily access surgical facilities and maintain close contact with recovering patients. Scottsdale Healthcare is one of the well-respected medical centers in the country, and all of our Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass and Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band procedures are performed in its state-of-the-art surgical center.

Support Programs
Scottsdale Healthcare also plays an important role in supporting our patients' progress and success through pre- and post-operative education programs. Through this partnership, we provide patients with a wide range of education and support programs run by professional medical staff, including dietitians, psychologists and exercise physiologists.

Scottsdale Healthcare's private rooms offer beautiful views of the nearby McDowell Mountains and the hospitals pristinely manicured grounds.
Our dedicated unit is staffed by caring and highly trained nurses who take great pride in working with weight loss surgery patients. The hospital rooms are equipped with appropriate furniture and equipment to meet the needs of the Scottsdale Bariatric Center patients.
Scottsdale Healthcare is one of the only hospitals in the country with a full-service wellness spa on-site. Patients can also enjoy a massage, manicure or facial in the comfort and privacy of their own room.
Both patients and their guests can also take advantage of opportunities for outdoor recreation with a stroll along Scottsdale's multi-use path system for biking, walking and jogging. This path is nestled in a park-like setting, which runs throughout the hospital campus.

Lisa Sandoval MPH
Program Manager
Lisa Sandoval received her Master's Degree in Public Health with an emphasis in administration and public policy from the University of Arizona Tucson. She completed an internship with Scottsdale Healthcare and Scottsdale Bariatric Center working on program and market development. During her internship, she worked closely with weight loss surgery patients and was inspired by the dedication of the multi disciplinary team.
Mrs. Sandoval currently oversees the Women's Health Programs at Scottsdale Healthcare including both surgical and non surgical weight management.
Aarin Fleck
Exercise Physiologist
Arrin Fleck graduated from Indiana University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in psychology. In addition to her degree she is a nationally certified personal trainer as well as a PACE certified instructor. She quickly relocated to Arizona in pursuits of a career in exercise physiology, helping people live healthier lives. For the past five years, Arrin has worked in multiple fitness facilities and spas with a variety of individuals. She is currently an exercise physiologist at Scottsdale Healthcare and Scottsdale Bariatric Center. She provides pre and post operative education as well as continued support to every patient. Arrin is also available for one-on-one personal training, wellness evaluations and other specialty services.
Dorrie Lazarus
Exercise Physiologist
Dorrie Lazarus received her Bachelor's of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree, with concentrations in Exercise and Wellness and Sociology, from Arizona State University. For the next year and a half, Dorrie worked as an Exercise Physiologist for a weight loss surgery practice in Mesa, AZ. Dorrie found great fulfillment working with the Bariatric patient. In April 2005, Dorrie took her career further by coming to work at Scottsdale Healthcare and Scottsdale Bariatric Center. Here she is finding incredible gratification working with all the patients and employees.
Dorrie is available for personal training, wellness evaluations, and wellness coaching.
